All fishing gear (rod, reel, tackle, waders) will be provided. See additional information for other required gear.

Because fly fishing is more than a sport — it’s a way of slowing down, paying attention, and reconnecting with what matters.

At Chocolate Dog Fly Fishing, every trip is built around the same values that inspired this company in the first place: curiosity, patience, and a love for the journey itself. My Labs - Montana, Harvey, Finley, and Reginald have always embodied those traits — the drive to explore what’s around the next bend, the resilience to keep going, and the joy of being fully present in the moment. That’s exactly what I try to pass on to every client who steps into the boat or wades into the current.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned angler chasing a personal best, my goal as your guide is simple: to teach you something new, to share the quiet beauty of our rivers, and to help you experience that rare kind of peace that only comes from standing in moving water.

When you fish with us, you’re not just booking a trip — you’re joining a tradition built on freedom, respect for the resource, and genuine passion for the craft. Every cast is a chance to learn, to laugh, and to leave the river a little better than we found it.
